Boston Neighborhoods

Charlestown
Charlestown, located just north of Boston’s downtown waterfront, is steeped in history and tradition. The site of the Battle of Bunker Hill, a turning point in the American Revolution, Charlestown was once its own city – encompassing much of the surrounding present-day towns. The Bunker Hill Monument, part of Boston National Historic Park, remains Charlestown’s architectural icon, and the neighborhoods surrounding it offer traditional Boston charm at very affordable prices.
